Yi
Yong Fan is a first rate player with energy, speed and precision
which have taken him farther and faster than nearly any player in
the world.
, Yong was born on Jan 22,1969 in Shandong Province, China.
, He started playing table tennis when he was seven years old and
was selected by the Chinese Academic and Sports Academy to train as
a professional player.
, In 1985 he won the Chinese national junior championship and was
promoted to the national team.
, At the 1991 National Championships he placed third in all of China.
, From 1992 to 1994 he coached in at the National Champion Club Fahaheel
in Kuwait.
, In 1994 Yong accepted an offer to represent the professional Malev
Sport Club of Budapest, Hungary.
o He played #1 for their team and
o competed in the prestigious European Superliga
o which is composed of the top three clubs from each of Austria, Hungary,
Czech Republic and Slovakia.
o From 1994 to 1998 Yiyong Fan dominated, being European Super League
Top Player.
, After traveling and competing throughout Europe, Yong decided to
move to America and eventually to settle in Seattle.
, From 1998 to 2003, Yong was ranked #1 in the U.S.
, He has also conducted coaching clinics and training camps for beginners
to advanced players at his table
